Established in 1994, Mahkota Medical Centre (Mahkota), Melaka is one of the largest and most comprehensive tertiary private hospitals in South Malaysia. With a capacity of 305 beds and housing 120 practising consultants across a wide range of medical and surgical disciplines, Mahkota sees more than 300,000 local and international patients and performs more than 12,500 surgeries annually. In January 2020, the hospital was the first in Melaka to become Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited, in addition to earning the 6^th edition Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) accreditation.
